The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
By Mark Haddon

This book is about a boy with autism. It’s written cleverly as the narrator is the same boy, so you will see the world in the eye of a 15 year old autistic boy. Before reading this book I had some idea about how autistics look like. I knew that they normally have behavioural problems, they aren’t very good with people, and some of them have special talents. Reading about something is different from living an experience and reading this book is like a journey that you live through all its details. The boy is living in another world and in the same time his father is in a different world even though they both live under one roof. This is a thought; every one of us perceives things differently which means to a certain extent every one of us is like in a completely different world especially if we don’t make an effort to understand each other.
Back to the book again, it’s a sad story to a certain extent but there are some funny moments as well.
